Henry h001 or mares leg barrel removal

Anyone ever replaced or removed the barrel on their Henry H001 or mares leg before? It appears to be pinned in with 2 pins, I’ve got a mares leg I put a stock on and want to take grouse hunting but the barrel wobbles, like really bad, if the sights weren’t on the barrel it would never hold zero, I know this things been dropped before and I want to tighten the barrel up, any suggestions? I’m guessing I need to pound the pins out and replace them? They don’t go all the way through the frame almost like they broke off

Any help is appreciated

Upon closer inspection it appears the part on the receiver that the barrel attaches to is cracked and flexing,… hope I can weld it

If that's the serialized part, I suspect your correct. Have you determined if it's steel or aluminum?

It seems like cast pot metal to me but I don’t know, I’ll try a spot weld on it tomorrow if it don’t take then I’ll try JB weld, I didn’t pay much for the gun but I’d still like to keep it

You may have luck with JB Weld, that stuffs pretty amazing.

I bought it second hand 9 years ago and have dropped it a bunch doing the terminator lever action flip that’s probably why it split

Might have something to do with it. Keep us updated, I'd like to know how you make out with your repair and which method you try.

Henry does come with a lifetime warranty. The warranty depot in Canada is Grech Outdoors. Maybe give them a call or shoot them an email.

Not much to update I tried jb weld and it didn’t hold

I’ll shoot them an email, doubt it’s under warranty but I’m willing to buy the receiver itself and swap my parts to it
