Recommendations - heated mitts

I've been looking at heated grips for the quad - arthritis in my fingers and thumbs, and it's a long COLD ride out from camp to my moose hunting areas. The more I think about it, the more I think this money would be better spent on heated mitts - this way they could be used in the stand and on the bike, and when clearing snow in the winter.

Lots to choose from and reviews seem to be different from one site to another. Do any of you use these? Which would you recommend? I'd prefer mitts to gloves, they need to be rechargeable, and they have to have a heated thumb.

Any recommendations? I'd like to keep the price around $250.
 
Definitely do the heated grips on your quad, they should be standard equipment. Then get heated mitts for when you're away from the quad. No point draining your mitt batteries when the quad makes its own power.
 
I bought a pair of heated Klim glove/mitts and they’re amazing. Used them on the sled and quad for the last few years and they’re one of the best pieces of gear I’ve treated myself in a while. They’re not cheap, but worth every penny.
 
Buy a set of CAF winter mitts from Army surplus they are the absolute best and you don't have to charge them.

reb, I have a set of those mitts - they're great as far as mitts go, but my hands still freeze on the quad in them.

I plowed snow for the first few years on the farm with a quad. Temp didn't matter, when the wind blew the long lane and yard needed to be cleared.... heated grips were the best investment ever, under $200 and hands were toasty warm, some days I didn't even wear gloves. Its crazy how such a silly little thing as heated grips can change the entire outcome of a job/ride, from miserable to enjoyable.
 
I have Raynauds (a few fingers will randomly have zero blood flow for the last 1-2” of the finger) and cold really drives me nuts. Best solution I have found is rechargeable hand warmers stuffed into the wrist elastic of gloves or tucked into that position when wearing bigger mittens. Some gloves have pouches built in the wrist or backhand for heat packs.

For the ATV there is no glove or mitten that will keep may hands warm enough without an added heat source. If you do get hand warmers go for the ones you stick on the bars/throttle and put whatever grips you want over them. The grips with built in hand warmers suck.

Or get gloves that plug into the ATV. You can buy pants, vest, jacket and gloves that plug into the ATV for endless heat.
 
i got my Mechanix Mpact heated yesterday and they seem really nice.
Still too warm to really test them but good build quality.
They do require bluetooth and a phone to run the temp control, thats kind of an inconvenience it seems but will have to test.

Definately seem super warm.

I know for the motorbike the heated grips and the heated vest changed my life.
The cool mountain mornings in the summer were much nicer and i could turn it all off by 10am once it started warming up.
