Winchester model 12

It was my misfortune to have to deal with broken slide lock springs in a M12 a customer brought into a local shop. At least he had obtained the replacements. Talk about a mickey mouse design. A M12 is a gun that is great until problems start.

It's because it is so well engineered. An engineer would climb over 50 virgins to #### one gunsmith!

Slam firing doesn't have many civilian purposes (except during the zombie apocalypse). It involves holding the trigger down after the first shot and firing subsequent shots as fast as you can cycle the action. The military purpose of this technique is to get as many .30 cal balls in the air as possible in the shortest possible time. This can be an effective way to clear a trench. It can also be an good way to end up standing in front of your enemy with an empty gun.

All kidding aside I watched Matt Dryke shoot 6 eggs before they hit the ground with a 12 that was almost slamfire ,then he switched and shot 5 with an 870 while riding a unicycle ,very humbling ...

If you wish to see slam fire in action and used for the purpose intended then google Herb parsons Winchester trick shooter and you may actually learn something
Also back in the day the market hunters used model 12 because of the slam fire capability

I don't see what you're referring to. There is nothing but trigger guard in the spot you mention.

Winchester beats Chinese crap all day long. We all need to STOP BUYING CHINESE!! Every firearm sold out of China is a vote for forced labour and deplorable working conditions, Any firm that succeeds in China must have close ties to the CCP. That is fact!!

I only hope that you did not use an iPhone or iPad when you added your reply!

Well I have more than a few only one has no mark and I believe there is a stamp there but cannot see it. However I did go back through my madis book and found that there were many marks usually due to inspection numbers or quality control by different craftsman. So chalk it up to the times I guess.
