winchester safari 3006 folding sight Q

hi guys the bro i know has a safari grade model 70 i believe, with folding rear sight, a fixed blade an a folder?

the fixed says 50 on the Left, and 200 on the Right. the Folder says 350? i believe.


he wanna know why it says 50 an 200 on the same sight.,


I says, i think its * with the right calbrated bullet weight, the gun be dead on at 50 roughly, an roughly again at 200............... use the same sight.

then when it is a poke, flip the other one up.


anyone confirm this please?

told him i would run it by the TechXperts i know in Canada

A rifle sight is dead on twice.

Once on the way up and once on the way down.

The above is correct... the flip up sight for 350 yards will be of a different height, making it work for the 350 yard distance.

With the right bullet weight, that's how it works.
