Barrel supplier

Is there a particular reason for the Shilen specifically? If it’s rimfire barrel there’s lots of high quality choices out there. Lothar, Lilja,McGowan, Bartlein etc. Like automobiles there’s great, average and LEMONS. Apparently you’ve had success or heard great things . Best of luck in your search
 
One can always use Prophet River's import service, was $50 + taxes/duties last time I brought a barrel in. Going this route you can deal directly with any manufacturer State side.

This would be the easy button. You can order right off their website and the delivery times were decent. Supporting Canadian never hurts.

From what I have seen their 22LR barrels shoot. The LGS has a target on the wall with a 3 shot group inside a one inch square at 300M from a 22LR IBI barrel. I was blown away.

You should NOT be blown away at 3 shots under an inch from a 22. Even if that’s 100 yards, it’s not that impressive.
 
It's worth keeping in mind that such a group at 300 is at best only a once-in-a-while thing. And regardless of distance, three shot groups that are nice are much more likely than five or more shots.

In any case, three rounds under an inch at 300 is more of a reflection of three lucky rounds than an especially good barrel.

Absolutely. Show several 10-shot groups and then you have an idea about the barrel.......and ammo.

Well apparently selling to you will be much more difficult haha. With age comes wisdom Grasshopper. Only those that know,well know. When I raced motorcycles professionally, there was a saying " When the gate drops, the bullshxt stops"
