What’s the Tavor 7 like on the range what kinda groups with what kind ammo can be expected. Does it shoot all over when hot like x95?

Can't speak on the groups bur I've run 1k of steel surp, some sp ammo and a bunch of other fmj without a single ftf or fte/issue. Running drills and it gets plenty hot, haven't noticed any devation or keyholing type issues. Imo best semi 308 fir the money in canada

So it will function with Norinco steel case ammo. That ammo serparates the men from the boys extraction wise

A few thing to note. It will occasionally missfire due to hard primer with this ammo. Over time the gun break in and this become less of an issue. And norinco is not to be trusted as non corrosovise. Some are, even recent production. Ive learn that the hard way.

I can't comment on what its like getting hot but I did get some time with a friends. TA11 ACOG with 308 reticle and PMC bronze 308 at 50m(max of the range unfortunately). My initial impressions are, finally they got the manual of arms/controls to where the original design of the gun should have started from with the upswept charging handle to lock the bolt. The trigger is absolutely livable in my opinion I do not mind it at all, its certainly not as nice as a full geissele set up but its not enough to make me want to take it out and replace it. Accuracy is what you would expect out of that gun with a 3.5x optic which is acceptable. One thing I would do is certainly swap out the muzzle device for something more effective. The gun is definitely light on the front end and with the 308's extra recoil I found it touchy even supported with a bag off the bench, but that ultimately is more of a me thing at the end of the day.

I think it would make an exceptional rifle for someone who wants the added peace of mind a 30 caliber cartridge brings to the table in a wilderness setting, and also wants the ability to fire moderately fast and keep things on target. I'd really like to get it out on a bigger range with some steel and better ammo to see how it performs up to 600m. Overall its a beast, and with options being limited after the agents of communism in this country banned the Stag 10 its one your best choices bar none across any caliber as far as semi automatics are concerned.

1000 rounds of China through mine with a bunch of other random 308. 1 or 2 hard primers in the China stuff. Nothing at issue. Swapped out the muzzle device for a more efficient brake, but I think the Appollo max I picked is a bit too effective.

It's a 2-3 MOA rifle with ball ammo using a PA 3x prism. Tried some Nosler match which was pretty consistent 2moa, nothing else ran better.

So far as parts.... This is Canada, you can't get parts for anything. Hopefully I won't need any.
