Have you folks never seen ''choke cherry pits'' before?????
Depending on where you are, what was left behind for you is from something browsing on choke cherries.
This year is a great year for them. Lots of rain in some areas in the spring and long dry summers are perfect conditions for them to ripen properly and the fruit on the trees gets so heavy it's easily within reach of animals that can't usually get to them.
When Deer eat choke cherries in quantity, they don't spit out the pits and their stool is black in color, the same as fully ripened choke cherries.
I've also seen Coyotes snacking on choke cherries and the results looks similar to that in your trail cam photos.
My dog loves them as well, so with stools that size, Dog, Coyote, Deer etc.
When animals get a good feed of choke cherries, their stool doesn't clump well, especially with mature Deer and it looks similar.
If a Deer left those, there should be some tracks around the stools, if there aren't any Deer tracks then a Coyote, unless you have feral Pigs????? but they tend to leave more tracks than Deer.
