Has anyone put a proper rem 870 trigger group in one? What mods were needed?

I put a metal Grizzly trigger group into an 870 that had the newer plastic trigger gaurd and it worked with no issues or modifications. Logic would suggest going the other way should be fine. I am not aware of any spec differences large enough to cause any issue at all. QA differences may be another matter though, it is Chinese...

Own both but have never tried swapping trigger groups, they are a true 870 clone so I don’t see why it wouldn’t be a drop in swap.

In my experience just because one grizzly’s parts were compatible with an 870 and vice versa doesn’t mean the next one will be too. I’ve even swapped parts between grizzlies only to find they weren’t interchangeable. I think they are great guns and have owned many over the years and still have 3, but the tolerances are just too inconsistent to predict and you won’t know until you try.

I have an older Wingmaster trigger group in mine. No mods needed. Works fine.
