Finally got out to the range with the Nighthawk GRP pistol, lets start with some stat's on this model, 5" match barrel fitted to pistol, blended magazine well, Novak 3 dot night sights with rear adjustable, Perma-Koat finish, and a 3lbs trigger that is unbelievable.

A total of 500rds of Winchester 230 grain FMJ (Q4171) were fired through the pistol and the following observations were made, no malfunctions occurred, accuracy was excellent from 5 yards to 20 yards (all shooting done from the low ready), pistol was responsive when being fired weak or strong hand - even when attempting operator induced malfunctions, sights were crisp and easy to pick-up & adjust, Micarta grips provided positive retention along with checkering.
Another 100rds of assorted Winchester/Federal/International Cartridge Company frangible ammunition & hollow point was fired with no malfunctions or issues. On a side note the frangible ammunition weighing 155 grains was travelling along at 1100fps, with little to no recoil or muzzle flip. Magazines used were the new Wilson ETM and they functioned flawlessly & ejected smartly without any drag or issue.
Having owned several custom pistols in the past from Les Baer/Wilson Combat/Novak, I must say my initial impression was very favourable with the GRP. I elected not to get the ambi-safety as a personal choice and have no regrets about it. If you are in the market for a concealed carry pistol that will double for both IDPA/IPSC competition, I think you do not need to look much further, yes many other pistols cost less money and some cost more, but for my intended purpose I am extremely pleased with my purchase.
As time progresses I will give updates on the performance of the GRP, and report any problems that might occur, as a side note Nighthawk Custom has also established a warranty center in Canada for problems that my occur, and that is Tactical Ordnance Inc.
Also if any one in the GTR is interested in shooting the pistol let me know and we can meet up, all I ask is that you use factory ammunition.
