Did you add a rubber ammo strip holder in there? I can see that you cut the stock to one big hole but it's a bit hard to see what else is going on in that picture...

Where is the balance point now with the magazine loaded? Are you going to stain it to match the front?

I didn’t do that man, that’s the original owners handy work.

I think I’ll be looking for a new stock, refinish and then probably sell it.
 
On second thought. More I handle it the more I like it.
I think I’ll find a new stock and hang on to it.
From what I can gather, it’s their low end model 336W.
Solid little gun though, feels like a tank, compared to my win 94.
 
I'm liking the new larger void in that stock, the ideal base for a nice inlay
something tasteful like an antler carving maybe or a buckle , getting artsy
 
I would have filled those holes with glossy gold painted wood disc "medallions" with dollar signs on them, it would be the hip hop edition
