Less expensive 30-06 ammo

Hi. Everyone. New to the forum.
Wondering if anyone can tell me where I can find some less expensive 30-06 hunting ammo?
Any place I find. The shipping is over the top.

What difference would that make? All factory loaded ammo is expensive.
Reloading is the only alternative to the high prices, but even that is not cheap anymore. It does cure the availability problem though.

Reloading - yeah, if you have never done any of that - it will cost 10 or 12 boxes of shells to get minimal amount of used gear, then find some "know-how" in a manual, You-tube or an acquaintance - is not a "cheap" alternative - and these days, at least where I am, about impossible to buy primers or powder, anymore.

But, if you bought all your toys 30 years ago, and kept supplies stocked up until a few years ago, reloading is a very handy alternative to paying for modern retail shells.

While I think anytime is the right time to get into reloading, Its definitely not cheap anymore. I hear you on the components, although I have not had any trouble getting the powders I require, the problem is primers. Even then they are out there, but I am not paying $350/brick... Luckily I still have a decent supply.

Yes, for sure on the price of primers these days - hard to swallow that a tray of 100 Large Rifle primers used to be like $3.29 at a store, and gun show guys now want $70 per tray of 100 now - and seem to actually sell them, priced like that!! So, must be somebody in the world willing to pay that price?? (But not me, either!!) I am still getting over paying $100 per thousand (Federal 210) at Cabela's, a few years ago (March 2021)!!!

$37 a box at Tenda for PRVI 150gr SP
$33 a box for S&B.
I find the S&B better ammo for factory then the PRVI, but the PRVI is better brass if you reload.

A lot of times ammunition is exempt from free shipping.

this would depend on how much hes shooting?
down here, to get set up in reloading cost a bit these days, then replacing components as they are shot / loaded. availability slim. prices rising,

if he shoot not much, laying $500 into factory ammo would last a good while?
laying 500 into reloading wont go too far?
