Longest air rifle shot

What's your longest air rifle shot?

Earlier this year I bought a ruger air magnum. I shot a 12" steel plat at 125 yards. It took a considerable number of shots but I got it! Hearing the pellet barely tap the steel at that distance was funny to listen to.

I was pretty happy with this. What's your best?

Crow at about 50 yards in the head ... with an HW30 ...

Mine was with .22 FX DreamLite Compact. Manage 4/10 hits on 6" plate at 150yrds. Same thing really had to listen for that faint 'ting'

When I was in South Africa, I got to try out a reeeeeal fancy FX .22 airgun, and managed to put 3/5 on a roughly 12" plate at 200m- absolutely unreal! Almost made me reconsider my opinions on what a "real" gun is... almost

I just have not had a chance to get out in the field with this one yet... I think 100 yard kills are feasible.

A 10.4 grain .177 pellet with an MV of 1000 fps would have a velocity of about 550 fps at 100 yards and 7 foot pounds of energy.

120 yards with a 6” gong for a target. Shots taken seated using a monopod. Rifle was a tuned Crosman Phantom in .177cal

266yds on a 10"x10" plate with my FX Panthera 700 in 25cal using 38.5gr NSA slugs.

I enjoyed reading these posts, gives me the urge to buy one, or at least try one with a muzzle velocity of over 1K foot per second! Thanks for sharing your experiences!

Speed kills the accuracy, especially when the air start moving.
I don't think that you would really need more then 900 fps up to 100 meters for a 1.5 MOA ... cal .22 or .25 (>35 fpe).

Diana 34 .177: fence post to top of very tall Ash tree the yellow bird went poof in a explosion of feathers. Distance: not sure but guess is 80 yards.

I shot a ten shot group that I could cover with my thumb at 50 yds with my springer AA TX 200 .177 cal. That was shooting off a bench.

There's air guns and then there's serious air power!

Here I was thinking it wouldn't be fair to compare the break barrel 177 with a 357 or 50 powered by a scuba tank. I wanted considered field artillery

My backyard has a nasty cross wind and you can see the 177 corkscrew in with alot if hold off.
