Hi guys,

I want to buy HK SL8 Tommybulit magwell, but don't want to wait long time for I run gun. Because I have a friend live in USA, I think he can buy it and use UPS send me. Does anyone think this plan will be successful or not?

Please give me some advice.

Be aware that there are US export restrictions, and there are Canadian import restrictions. I understand it is usually the US export restrictions that will be a problem.

That depends on your definition of successful. Would it get through? Maybe. Would your friend be breaking US law by doing so? Also maybe.

Your friend needs to check on export requirements before doing this. There is a reason why most use third party import services as in most cases export licensing is required.

###### armory also carries some tommybuilt stuff. Odds are similar import wait but have odd stuff already in country.

AZ tech

Also did you consider the SPUHR magwell, works well often available in Canada.

I found something in United States Exporting:

https://blog.easyexport.net/10-ways...egulations-will-help-you-export-your-products

No license required for shipments of firearm parts up to $500.
It will now be legal to ship up to $500 of firearm parts (other than frames, receivers and complete breech mechanisms) to almost any country in the world without a license. The previous limit was $100 for exports to all countries other than Canada.
Question: Can private individuals rather than dealers also export?

You’re better off asking your question to the Commerce and/or State Dept in the US. Most exports use to fall under the State Dept, now most fall under the Commerce Dept.

Your friend would still need to file with AES for the shipment. He would also have to note the values as there is a yearly maximum to export.
