Anybody know where all the SK ammo (particularly the Rifle Match and Standard stuff) has gone? Most stores are out of stock, and those that have it are overpriced and far from me.
Nordic has SK, LAPUA and Eley by the Brick, but shipping from Nova Scotia might hurt you if you're in Van.
Fuel Cost for long shpts prob high.
Shipping for 6 bricks to Northern Ontario was 100$ from them, scrapped the order
Shipping four bricks was the same price from the same place to the same city/area.
For some reason this supplier in Truro N.S. charged higher shipping than did the national distributor located some 100 km away in Lake Echo, N.S.
The lesson may be to order from a supplier as close as possible.
More SK ammo will arrive via the national distributor with the next shipment from the place of manufacture in Schönebeck, Germany (also the place of manufacture of Lapua .22LR match ammo).
Where are you buying from . . . a supplier or your local gun store?
If you are buying a case at a time, be it mixed or all one lot, establishing a link with a major supplier will find you what you want.
Nordic, TSP (Peter) and Hirsch would make it worth your while. You buying from Ontario saves the PST and that has offset the shipping for me.
When there are others in the club wanting to partake in an order, you can middle for them and learn quickly who has to pay up front!
They wanted 100 a few years ago to ship a case of CX to NB but it was 40 from Lake Echo. They are good to deal with though if you can drive down.
Wasn't there a decent size dealer in Ontario that sells Lapua and SK ? Peter Kraus or something like that ran jt ?
TSP (Target Shooting Products) is one of two places in Ontario from which Lapua and SK can be purchased in quantity when available. Tesro is the other and it gets it's ammo from the distributor (as does Nordic in N.S.).
I checked with Tesro about the SK availability. I was told they are expecting a shipment in the fall. So any time now, I guess!
