Can we require or at least highly endorse the creators of ammo threads to also post $/rnd in their threads to make it easier for buyers. This also goes for vendors.
Thx

# rounds = X
price = Y

Cost per round = Y/X

It's not difficult math......

edited in case someone wanted no sarcasm.

ha:

What we should be asking dealers to do is calculate taxes and shipping up front. I'm tending to only make purchases at places that promote free shipping on anything over say, $300. I can't tell you how many times I've wasted going through all the hoops to make a purchase only to discover that taxes and shipping is more than the item itself. or the same cost. Thats right, it costs me the same amount of money for the privilege of buying it and getting it to me, as what it does to manufacture it and all of the various levels of profit calculated into the item. It's fv<king robbery, and I won't do it. I refuse.

I always think and price in box price, ie pistol 50 rounds @ $40.oo You can always divide by 50 for your price.
I hate cost / rd, no distributors price that way. Cost per 1000. that is even easier to figure.

I know how to do the math. Im saying when youre looking through page of forum posts and everyone has a different format of posting, it just takes the work load out of every viewer having to to the math if the OP just does it and then only one person has to.
Why do you think Libraries have standardized cataloguing or vehicle check engine lights tell you where the problem is, literally anything you wanna point to has a system to it. BUT NOOOOO, too much logic there...

How much it would cost would depend on the shipping costs which vary for the location of the person buying. The shipping cost is dependent on the courier service used and even if a cost is quoted by the seller for a specific courier service it maybe that the courier does not service the area you live in. In the past I have bought ammo and the seller has quoted a price for UPS, however UPS does do not service the area I live in and I have to get a quote from the seller for Purolator. It is important to note that ammo and firearms cannot be passed from one courier to another and must be delivered by the original courier or left at the original couriers agent.

i dont have to go through all the misery of buying ammo at inflated prices as i reload all my ammo with cast and cut the cost way down so shooting a lot at the range does not break my wallet.

How are you over complicating it this much. Seriously. Forget shipping. Just the cost per round before shipping. Obvs shipping is gonna be different. Arsenalforce has a $/round sort option where it calculates it without shipping.

Like I just dont get how this is so difficult.

Like I just don’t get how this is so relevant.

Seriously though, I just wish there was more ammo available for the less common calibers.

Just like 'cashiers' that have to read the register to make change :rolleyes: So many want answers 'given' to them, like all the 'repeated' threads about 'Renewals', 'what ammo is best?', 'is ### now on the list?' - google-fu Y'all.
