Along with other cartridges, which I have been conducting load development, I found a nice accurate load for the 300 H&H.
-67.5 gr. H-4350
-165 gr. Nosler Accubond
-215M primer
-Nosler Brass
-Muzzle Velocity-3,160 fps
-COL 3.640" .94" jump
-Accuracy at 300 yards- 5 shot group 1.229". Moved the POI up and left. Final sighting in for hunting: 3 shot group 1.038" BULLSEYE!
I'm still undecided to use the 300 H&H or the 9.3x74R for moose this autumn.

Nice, very nice. - dan

I can relate to the dilemma as to which one to take out. I have an 1885 in 300H&H, and a Krieghoff Classic SxS in 30R Blaser, that have been getting hauled out every year, it can be a tough choice as to which one to grab in the AM. The K-gun is quite a bit lighter, it usually gets the nod for spot & stalk, although the 1885 isn't unbearable, it does wear on me quicker.

That 1885 sounds like a cool rifle! My Dad has a 22-250, heavy one, good for varmits.
Would you mind posting photos of it?

My M700 "Classic" in 300 H&H liked the 200 grain Partition and Reloder 22.
Shot a couple of moose with it, both DRT. Great cartridge to hunt BC with. EE
