.32 special

I’m currently building one now, got 1 box of ammo to work with.. lol
I need components and dies.
 
I have one and have the dies, etc. Factory crimp die is a must for reloading. You can easily form .32 Special brass from .30-30 brass. Finding the bullets and brass tends to be the toughest part. CFE223 works great for powder though.

.32 has always been pretty pricey though. I ended up with some and guys were fighting over it minutes after I posted. Lots of old handed down rifles needing a box or two it seemed. I don't recall it being too hard to find in stores but the last I probably looked must have been nearly a decade by now.
 
I use a mid 50's 94 carbine in .32WS for whitetail. I use whatever ammo is on top of the pile. I also cast and reload plinkers. Lee .323 mold.
 
When I acquired my .32 Special, it came with 6 or 7 boxes of vintage Winchester Silvertips and Remington Core Lokts. I probably will never run out of them. I also reloaded a bunch that I more than likely will never get to. The old boxes of ammo were in pristine shape and probably from the early '70's or even late '60's and it would be a shame to use them. Good little caliber, but really doesn't offer anything that a modern .30-30 won't do reasonably.
 
30-30s tend to still group ok with some wear and pitting...32 special accuracy generally deteriorates quickly with the same amount of wear
