What you implied was something else, which was that the distributor desired a monopoly out of self-interest and that grey market retailers were doing consumers a favour by charging less. Many countries have national distributors for match ammo. It's an established system, not the nefarious one you suggest. Prices are set by the manufacturer and distributors. Grey market retailers will charge what the market will bear, which is the going rate. No ammo dealer, authorized or not, has difficulty selling out his match ammo and will wish to get the best return.
Only one grey market retailer sells match ammo by the case. And if prices on the website are lower they are out-of-date and don't reflect the most recent prices.
