Tikka prices on the rise?

theyre all going up in price.
dont you love it? our dollar vs the USD is at an all-time high but prices continue to rise unchecked, and are still 1/3-1/2 more than the Americans are paying for them. and not just guns, but everything.

Ruger Hawkeye just went up from $599 to $644 then $680 in the span of a month.... arent prices supposed to be coming down to reflect our stronger dollar (in relation to the US)?
 
Even with the higher dollar is it enough to offset the higher material cost for Manufacturing? Hard to say....

Maybe this is wishful thinking but if the US goes into recession and americans don't have money to spend on guns, and the only people enjoy a good economy (w/money to spend) is Canada would they then give Canadians a break if there is a surplus for the market in the states? ;)

Here is a secret: If the US economy crashes we will be less than 6 months behind them.
 
I would be surpised, especially given companies like Weatherby dropping their prices on their entry level guns (ie Vanguard). Then again, costs of damn well near everything, from materials to freight, keeps going up :(

Who are you kidding, if the US goes into recession they will probably invade Canada....and if Australia had anything of value we would be sh!t out of luck too.
