Browning Safari in 222 FN Made In Belgium

I'm planning to post this rifle on the EE. I did bit of research and apparently the Browning Safari is a bit scarce in this Caliber. I'm planning to post this for sale on the EE, can anyone tell me what a fair market value is for this rifle... with or without the lower end vortex scope mounted on it... thanks!

Browning out sources all of it's firearms, it is not a manufacturer but a marketing company.

The rifle looks great with minor use marks. The only drawback is availability of .222 ammo that's as scarce as hens teeth. I think the best starting point would be $1200. Deal from there.

Browning used Sako and FN actions on the Safari models.

In the US these rifles are advertised anywhere from 1500 to 2000 from what I can see but this is a different market and the caliber is a bit of a tough sell.

For short actions and medium actions Browning used a round top version of the Sako actions. The barrel and action were manufactured by Sako in that configuration only for Browning.

Leave the mounts on it, remove and sell the scope separately for the best return.

Remove the metal from the wood and take pictures of the inletting and the bottom side (hidden) of the metal...

They were really nicely made and accurate rifles as well - the one I had an opportunity to shoot, anyway.
I personally am not crazy about high gloss finishes , but that is a personal thing.

The scope adds very little to it. As mentioned this is a sako action. They are nice rifles, but this isn't one the more unusual models. I would say 1200 would be fair, assuming no salt wood. - dan

In 2014 one sold at the Switzer's Auction for $1300.00 plus auction fees of course.
FN BROWNING. MODEL: SAFARI. CALIBER: .222 REM pencil barrel, no sights, gloss finish , etc...
I have included the ink that contains the pictures for your viewing pleasure and considerations to compare conditions of the two.
I was going to spit ball 10 Brown ones before I spotted the auction house.
Also Reliable has a magnum for less than $1200 with a price reduction in the last week.
Nice looking Safari btw, and am torn between your Safari and a Brno 21 H in 6.5X57 to complement the 7x57.
