Casehardened a Stevens 44 1/2

Today I took some time off and played in my shop casehardening a Stevens 44 1/2 and blued the 2 barrels for it.
Now I am anxious to finish and shoot this rifle which is 38-55 and 22 LR. Now it takes patience for the stock to get enough coats of oil.

They caseharden very nicely. Here is one I built in 17 HM2. Definitely my favourite gopher gun.

Here is pic of the action right after it came out of the quench tank.



I started making some front spirit level front sights for the two barrels. I high temperature silver soldered the main bits together. Next up is to mill a hole from side to side for the level tube.
