I wanted to put together a new rifle for my upcoming 40th birthday. I wanted something I could use for everything from pronghorn to moose and from close to far. I'm pretty happy with how it came together. It seems to like the sierra 165 gamechanger over h4831sc for 2870fps and the 180gr eldm over 7828ssc for 2840fps. I'll probably mostly be using the 180's. I haven't done much for load development yet.

Tikka t3x left hand
Ibi 280 ackley 22" carbon hunter
Stockys carbon vg2
Vortex razor lht 3-15×44
Unknown munitions rings (tikka specific)
Unknown munitions level
Ti bolt handle
It's sitting right at 8lbs with an empty mag

Nice rifle! I see you're a Rokslide fan. Lol How did you get the UM rings and level? They were saying on their podcast that they couldn't get them across our border (maybe I shouldn't ask...).

Haha yes indeed. Rokslide has cost me a few pennies in the last little while... regarding the rings, I just ordered them from Unknown munitions. No issues at all. I believe I got them sent to my work as they wouldn't ship to a po box. I got dinged customs for them but that seems to be par for the course for anything anymore.

Good to know. Maybe things changed recently. I got Sportsmatch on mine and waiting on the Rokstock. Got to drop test that scope now! ;)

Haha ya right. Those stupid drop tests make me stay up at night lol. I'm always afraid my vx3hd will miss a deer after riding around in the back of the truck for a few miles.

Very nice rifle, I would have thought it would have weighed a bit more than it does! I like it.

Really nice rifle, Savagelh! Does look like a "do it all" rig alright! Bet it shoots like a dream, too?

Call me crazy but I'm really starting to like these cheap, made in the US Weaver four hole skeletonized rings. And I've done the Sportsmatch thing too lol

Nice looking rifle, the more I look at Tikka’s in aftermarket stocks them more I’m leaning towards one for a LH .223, the CTR’s do check all my boxes and it seems there’s options for changing to aics mags.

nice rig but as lefty you have all my compassion. tikka is certainly one of the best rig for the money.

ah ah of course lighter is never cheaper even for us users of tikka.
