What's on your hunting bucket list?

For me I would love to do a speed goat and elk hunt, but I doubt it will happen, I’m too poor for that!! So I will keep it up here, I want to connect with a bison this year! I would like to connect with a sheep and go after mountain caribou again(it’s been a while now)!
I guess not too extravagant of a bucket list lol!

Polar bear
Alaskan brown bear
NWT/Yukon Grizz
Cougar
Yukon Moose/caribou combo hunt
Africa for croc, sable, Kudu, warthog, baboon

Have you ever looked into a Polar Bear hunt? I don't see any on bookyourhunt, curious to know if it's available in all 3 territories and how much they costs.

I want to say you can do a very affordable DIY Pronghorn hunt in Wyoming. At least you could a few years ago, OTC doe tags were like $40.

International:
I was fortunate enough to go to New Zealand this year and get my bucket list red stag, and fallow buck; what a great experience! My wife got her Arapawa ram.
Beautiful country, great people and while I was not after one of their big gnarly stags, the one I got was beyond my expectations and is a fantastic animal (and was the second smallest stag we saw on the trip!). Tasty too!
I definitely want to go back to hunt fallow buck again! Was a great hunt! Challenging animal.
Also want to hunt rusa deer, sika deer and sambar on the north island (3 more bucket list animals).

I am fortunate enough too that we are going to South Africa in May and I will be hunting kudu, nyala and bushbuck! My wife is going for sable (her number 1 bucket list animal!)
Other bucket list animals should I be able to go back are: leopard, lechwe and sitatunga. I will most likely never be able to afford mountain nyala or bongo!
Another species I may never be able to afford would be Mongolia for for Argali. (These last 3 are for the "if I win the lottery!") But one can dream!

I would also like to go to Spain for the 4 species of ibex and for mouflon.
Texas or Argentina would be for black buck and axis deer, perhaps a red sheep. The wife is now adding Hawaii to the list for axis deer, and she wants a Hawaiian black sheep.

Greenland hunting for musk ox and caribou is another trip I would like to make.

A hunt in Russia for snow sheep would also be exciting!

Domestic:
I too have been fortunate enough to live in and hunt most of BC and Alberta, and have taken many species over the years. Favourite hunts have always been elk, but many hunts for ruffed grouse, bison, sheep, goats, caribou and antelope have also been very memorable (not to mention providing very tasty meat for the table for me and my family!). A California bighorn and dall sheep are still on the list. Have been on one California bighorn hunt but couldn't locate a legal ram. Was still a great hunt in beautiful country!

One species I have seen but not yet had a shot opportunity on is wolverine; would really like to get one of these cool critters!

Another animal that I would like to hunt is cougar. Very cool animal! A friend got one years ago, and it was very tasty! There was one hanging around property I had permission to hunt, but I never had a chance to see it, although the landowners spotted it a few times.

Two bird that I have encountered on a few of my hunts, but haven't yet been able to acquire have been pheasant and chukar; perhaps on my next trips to those areas I will be better prepared to gather them!

I still want to hunt musk ox and more of the species of caribou here in Canada, with mountain caribou being at the top of the list. Been on one hunt so far, and while we saw some caribou, we did not see a legal bull we could get to. A stag hunt in Newfoundland would be next up in the priority list.

There a numerous reasons why people may, or may not, have a hunting bucket list. For some it is the the hunt itself. For others, it is the travel and experience of the whole adventure, including the travel, the new country to see, the people and culture in these new countries, the food, etc. along with the hunt and the animals. And then there are the other birds and animals seen on these trips that add to the whole experience.
While we can live vicariously through seeing these places, people, and animals on shows, or reading about them in books and magazine articles, there is no replacement for the first hand experience!
No one should feel that they need to justify their desires or "bucket lists". That they wish to hunt something, somewhere, for whatever reason, is enough.
Hope all your dreams can come true!

Although I'd love to take the big 6 in Africa and buffalo in Africa Australia and South America and our bison as well as all the big bears I think my first major bucket list hunt would be doves in Argentina and pheasants in the Dakota's

I live in an area that has maybe a dozen Big Game species (if you count the certainly unhuntable and probably extinct Caribou), I'd hunt from some of the famous old camps, like the camp where no talking was allowed, only sign language.

But outside the local area; Walrus, a Helicopter Hog hunt, "fishing" for Alligator, Occelated Turkey in Mexico, Leopard with Dogs and Lesser Kudu in Afrika, Auerhahn and Ibex in Europe. But realistically I'll be lucky to do any of those.

I actually have not looked into it lately, but I did about 3 years ago. Its one of those hunts that if its on the list, a guy better jump at it, wont be available too much longer. Look at Grizzly bears in Ab and now BC

I’m sort of fortunate in that I’ve done most of my bucket list. I wouldn’t have bet any huge sum on that taking place, and seriously doubt that anyone else believed that I would do 10% of what I have.

I say “Sort of fortunate” because there isn’t a whole lot left to dream about, but there are a few. Polar bear, walrus, leopard, lion, a real monster moose come to mind.

I would like to hunt all of the quail species, would also like to hunt sea ducks, divers on bigger water, some field goose and duck hunting as well.

But mostly I would like to travel/explore Canadian and US uplands over pointing dogs. Not overly concerned with killing anything in particular so long as the dogs work well, there’s some birds to find and the scenery is nice

Not really a bucket list thing as I have done it before, but never sequentially... 2024 have a Montana horseback elk, mulie hunt followed immediately by a Wyoming Antelope hunt... with a bull moose hunt upon returning home... looking forward to that.

I like to have new experiences and hunt new species but I'm not really a list person. I've been very very fortunate to have hunted a bunch of critters in Western Canada, and would still like to experience my first hunt for barren ground caribou and also bison. Further afield I've hunted deer and wild boar in Germany and it was a wonderful cultural experience, so now I'd like to experience a driven wild boar hunt in Turkey. I've hunted Africa four times. I never get enough of hunting kudu and eland and buffalo. Bushpig and Bushbuck have eluded me so far, both would be new and interesting for me. Lots of other species to add if one is into "lists" in places like Zambia, Mozambique or Tanzania. Those destinations would provide lots of diverse opportunities that I haven't had during other safaris to South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia. New Zealand intrigues me. A variety of deer species, and mountain game, with unlimited seasons and bag limits. Or Argentina, hunting with pointers for perdiz on the pampas has a nice ring to it. Wish those places weren't so far away and expensive!

Would like to hunt Northern Territory water buffalo but doubt it will happen.

In Canada? Successful hunt mountain grizzly, bison, and goat and try for mountain caribou. Polar bear would be pretty cool

Experiencing a driven hunt for boar and hunting mouflon and chamois would be cool

The Australian Water Buffalo are Feral Livestock.

Fasteel and Icehunter took me out gopher shooting in Alberta one spring when I was working in Edmonton for awhile. Great guys and it was super fun. We also shot some .458Win and 460 WBY IIRC. Mostly we used 22LR's at pretty close range but it would be fun to do that as well as set up somewhere we had some distance and spot and shoot with a .223.

Not much for gophers in BC but I would sure like to spend a few days shooting gophers again. Springtime in BC we hunt big black gophers.:)

Maybe Mountain Quail in the western USA? Or Kalij Pheasant on Hawaii? I'm more of an upland bird hunter and have bagged a wide variety of species.. just ticked a few of the list this past January on a Gambel's/Scaled/Mearns (Montezuma) Quail hunt in Arizona.. also did an upland hunt on the Big Island a few years back and got quite a variety including Black & Erckel's Francolins.
