9.3x57 vs 444 Marlin

Considering the wide availability of large rifle primers currently factory ammo is a nice option to have even if it's not cheap. Plus it's always nice to be able to go buy a box to shoot if something comes up. I would have shot my 9.3x57 if I could have grabbed a box at the local LGS (well, not of it was $120 lol) instead it got sent down the road before I had brass for it.

While a couple years ago I was very concerned about primer availability, patience prevailed, and for me it has not been an issue.

Part of the fun of these somewhat obscure calibers is the challenge of working up the ammunition. The other part is sharing with other like minded people. Did I need the 9.3 x 62? Nope; but I wanted something different; I ended up with a fine shooter and a lot of fun!
 
I can't really think of a situation where one could do the job but the other couldn't.

They are both gonna have to be reloaded.

I believe it boils down to weather you're a bolt guy or a lever guy...

Personally, I would pick the 444, for no other reason than I like lever guns.
I would also prefer the x62 version over the x57 in 9.3mm if I was going with that caliber.
