Does anyone have a picture of the CZ600 recoil lug arrangement in the walnut stock? I have read concerns about small plastic lugs as part of the stock on the plastic stock models.

How did they do this with the wood stocks?

Thanks

Lux has plastic block up front, steel cross bolt at the rear, doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
Then again, the 14.5" LOP and 8.6lbs weight doesn't make much sense for a hunting rifle either.
I hated mine as soon as I took it out of the box.
Put 10 rounds through it and hated it even more.
Still haven't decided what I'm doing with it, might make a good boat anchor come spring.

The long LOP is for iron sight shooters on for e.g. drive hunts without optics. Not for benchresters or stand hunters.

Just cut the stock down to whatever lenght you want and grind the butt pad or get another one if need be.

Inspect the plastic block in front after firing fouling shots to determine action set back in the stock. Prior to that tighten the action screws.

Them actions are smooth and the gun is very accurate.

Sucks worse shooting it with irons, the comb angle and odd cheek piece makes it smash your face, very unpleasant to shoot with irons.
I got the 8x57 version, I have HVA 98's that don't kick like that and weigh half as much lol.
The Lux stock is garbage. The whole design is pretty much garbage. Best thing I can say about it is the nitride finish, I wish more guns came with that.
It didn't shoot for #### first time out. I'm going to throw a brake on it and load some match ammo and see if that makes it more shootable, if not she's getting dumped on consignment for a loss.
Have BRNO's, 527's, but these 600's ain't very appealing to me.
I have some pics here in this thread with some of the crap design elements.

I have cz527 - really like it, a cz550 - great gun - 4 cz557 including a lux with a set trigger- nice guns and finally a cz600 - I absolutely LOVE the gun - just wish it had a set triggers like the 557lux and the 550- nice fore end and pistol grip -it’s a bit beefy but I like the good solid feel - overall it fits me just fine including at the bench - just had to offset some of the negative comments- best is to try one out and see how it fits you and btw the gun is frigging accurate - think of it as a tikka all decked out

And if anyone wants to trade theirs for a boat anchor- count me in

Which model of CZ600 do you have?

The weight of the cz 600 is also similar to the 557 and 550 series. I find most CZ's to be hefty.

While the cz 600 is a budget gun with corners cut to ease manufacturing, its still a very functional rifle with some features most gun nuts will enjoy ie. Control round feed, high visiblity irons, smooth action, detachable mag, tang safety and etc. I'm enjoying mine. This is coming from someone who has handled most of the CZ/Brno line and Several European brands.

I have owned a ZKK602, and a 550. Carried and used a number of ZKK's years ago, so used the typical CZ chunkiness. I wonder how durable the 600's recoil lug arrangement is?

Thanks for the responses so far.

Never had a problem mounting a scope on a 98...
The 600 Lux long action makes it hard, need a long scope with long eye relief.

CZ has pic rails for all action's length. That could help to solve your problem with the gun?

If it is unmolested, got nice wood on it with iron sights, I'll buy it from you, if you want to get rid off it...
