S&W Model 66-2

They're a decent gun if they havn't fired many .357 magnum loads. They are built on the K frame which was originally designed for the .38 special. What barrel length?
I sold a six inch for $400 a couple of years ago.

It's a K-frame? It seemed like a HUGE gun, though I have small hands. 6" barrel. I'd only shoot .38sp through it.

I like mine. Most 357s in Canada have typically been shot with 38 Specials. If you plan on shooting many 357s then try a 686 instead.

$400 would be a good price I would think. I bought mine for $300 about 10 years ago. Kind of a safe queen now. Too many guns and not enough time.

Get a hold of a model 27 and you'll see the difference.

That's why I looked at it in the first place, very similar looking. Would you say the grip is about the same on the two revolvers? It felt okay and had a real smooth & light trigger, especially in SA mode.

If it's that wooden grip so common to S&W if it fits buy it. I never liked it on any model but that's me.

I prefer this one!

Could it be that you're in the wrong thread? The one about 686s is over here.

Nope, just a comparison of what you can get for around $700.

For this 66 if the history is known, that is limited number of 357 rounds, then $400 to $450. If history unknown, $350 tops.
