Norinco 1911

Hi guys (gals) !!!!

I'm about to receive my restricted license from RCMP and I was looking at a Norinco 1911 Commander.....are they any good?

I already have two guns wich are a Ruger Single Six .22 cal + .22 WMR and A nice and clean S&W model 27 in .357Mag.

I'm looking for a semi-auto that won't break my piggy bank :stirthepot2:

Let me know what's transpiring from The Norinco commander in either 9mm or .45ACP !!!!;)

Thanks!

I would go for the Norinco military Tokarev.Get it in 7.62x25.Lots of cheap ammo available and the cartridge has serious punch.I think they are 180 dollars at Marstar.Cheap and fun gun to shoot.

Nothing wrong with a Norc 1911 they are cheap and go bang. As long as your not expecting it to be a Kimber or STI you'll be happy with it.

The Cocker, no, a Norinco 1911A1 isn't as refined as a Kimber but it will shoot with one just as it comes out of the box. I own two 'rincos and one Kimber; I wouldn't own two 'rincos if they were not good. Regards, Richard:D

There are many strong opinions on Norinco 1911's.

Mine, personally, based on owning just one, is that it was the biggest piece of crap I have ever owned.

You would be far better off spending $100 more for something like a Ruger pistol.

Your mileage may vary, but as far as I'm concerned: Friends don't let friends buy Norinco!

If you took that $100 and sent it and the gun to Gunnar, you'd be shocked at the difference, and you'd have a reliable and accurate 45 for the price of a Ruger. :D
