Dlask 10/22 barrels, opinions

An older thread, but… any experience with 8” Dlask barrels?
Wondering about the accuracy expected.

Side note: Margolin has 6” fairly thin barrel, yet it can shoot better than most

I have the 9" carbon fibre on my take-down DLASK package. Nice quality build.
Accuracy seems to be ok....my expectations for tight groups wasn't the reason why I bought the rifle, after all it's a 10/22 and a take-downcou:

most rimfires barrels go over 150,000 rounds before being thrown away

yes one hundred and fifty thousand rounds

Lilja who builds barrels for blieker rifles are pre-seasoned so they shoot right away as it can take a few thousand rounds for a be]arrel before it comes into its own zone
those 3P rifles are usually only good for about 30000 to 50000 rounds before being relegated to normal usage at the range

Buddy who only got one, thousand rounds something is amiss

I had a Dlask 10/22 barrel, in a 12.5". It was just ok. Accuracy seemed acceptable for a sporter chamber, but it had bad vertical stringing no matter the ammo. I paid $210.

I switched to a 12" McGowen barrel and the accuracy is amazing and it's been flawless. The McGowen barrel did cost nearly twice as much though, and it's also a match grade barrel. Very nice quality on it, $380.

If I were to do it again, McGowen all the way.

Where did you get it?

I picked up a 18.5" carbon steel heavy barrel from Dlask and had them toss it on to a TUF receiver. Since then, it's killed over 3,000 gophers and has upwards of 10,000 rounds through it. Accuracy with bulk ammo was acceptable. With higher end ammo it shot and still shoots very well. Maybe something like a Lilja with a match chamber would be better at printing tiny groups... But for the price and quality, they are very well worth it. Like others have said, I have really heard of any .22lr ever being "shot out", sometimes barrels need deep cleaning, but to wear out rifling? That would be hard to do.
