What do you mean permission from the CFO ?

You say you have a 12 gadget...so you must have a PAL.... this makes no sense.

Given that you have noted you'd prefer a semi, the SL8 is probably your best value for money - very accurate. Other affordable options would be a Type 97 gen 3. Going up from there in price would be a used pre-X95 Tavor, then used X95. Beyond that you go way up from there in price.

With Cobra on this one; great price from Tenda, plus HK awesomeness that will outshine both the field and the range!

tar 21s unfortunately have seemed to jump in price a bit, most people have them listed for 2100 plus. might as well spend the extra 300 bucks for a used x95 as they typically go for 2300-2450. Loved my x95 and ran the piss out of it with no issues but got bored and got a bren instead. out of all the bullpups available I cant recommend the tavor 7 enough, I treat that gun so bad (corrosive ammo, mag dumps, etc.) and it gives me nothing but love. they seemed to drop a bit as Im seeing them for 2900 and 3k sometimes

Would a Tavor be accurate enough for a 200yd coyote gun? I know they don't have the most stellar reputation with regards to accuracy?

Was just gonna say. OP isn't planning on trusting this gun with his life, but he does need it to be accurate out to distance. That criteria is kind of the opposite of the Tavor's wheelhouse.

Also, screw bullpups. lol

200 is fine for body shots, but yeah I wouldnt push it past 400. 9 hole reviews should have a good video on this but keep in mind its the us 16 inch model.

Based on the two I owned before moving on to the X95 I'd feel confident making a good hit on a coyote at 200, but I'd probably prefer it to be closer to ensure a clean kill.

SL8 at 200, on the other hand, no problem at all.

downside is expensive aftermarket, proprietary mags and a non threaded barrel for most models.

Kinda confused here. What CFO permission? How far is your house from everyone else? Have you even began looking into the 400m setback?

Just buy whatever you want and try to hunt with it - anything under 3moa will kill 'em. You have until April to do so anyway.

Why are you worried about overkill if you aren't eating or skinning them? I'll be using my 308 next time we go out, and #00 after that.

Modern Sporter , but they are $4000 +
Maybe a Macabee, seen one going for $3000

Raven is worth a shot $2000

My go-to response used to be modern sporter, but people selling them on the EE must be OD'ing on edibles. There are two listed for >$6k with $250 Faxon barrels and milspec triggers, with a smattering of "good, but not great" parts. You could buy a Bren 2 for 2 legged predators and a SL8 for a precision coyote slayer for that money, and have more reliable rifles to boot.

I'm still on the fence with the Raven when it comes to reliability. But if I'm being honest I haven't seen a single post regarding reliability since they changed BCGs. People want to hate on the rifle because it's made by Lockhard, so that silence (IMO) is telling. It may be truly good to go.
The HK SL8 would be a coyote slayer, and it's a G36 inside so reliability is top of the heap. It's apparently muzzle heavy (heavy in general), and behind the AR-ish rifles for ergonomics. So I'd try to handle one first.
The x95 is the x95. Proven, compact, not all that accurate but every click will go bang in any conditions. Not easy to find right now, even used.
