The all new Famae flat top.

T.I. would come through the issue is not with them, they are telling you what the supplier told them. There aren't 10 variants of these and ups they sent the wrong handguards. Think!! how could they get the whole shipment wrong? lol that's what they had, that's what they used, simple. The original handguards are designed differently, they wanted to simplify them and they built the wrong mold with the wrong specs more then 4 years ago, i guess more then 4 years ago they shipped them with the wrong handguards as well and haven't figured it out. They are unfortunately shipping them as you see them simple. " yeah, yeah, we will ship you 1000 handguards, the right ones and you can ship to your customers" lol

I ordered one with 4 extra mags. Was told there was inventory issues and I would have to wait 9 months for the next shipment for mags. Not going to have a firearm with only one mag so I cancelled my order. I’ll wait for the next batch. Will pick up a Tavor 7 in the meantime.

Seeing that someone bought mags to scalp pisses me off. I guess anything to make a quick buck these days.

I was told nothing or I would have told them to piss off and keep the rifle too.

Being shipped a partial order then being told 9 month wait is unacceptable

I better get a couple extra mags for the piss off

This is the bull#### reply I got over my missing mags.. Why is it they always have issue's.. had lots of stock when I ordered then my order got stopped with the "packaging issue's* they kept selling mags then screwed me with this BS... not even a warning or notice my order was shorted until I had to question them..

Kind of a piss off paying for something then getting shafted yet you see idiots selling bulk 542 mags on GP FOR DOUBLE..

Tactical imports reply..

The 542 magazines have unfortunately sold out far quicker than anticipated and faster than the website was able to update it appears.

We look to have the next batch in 9 months give or take. Unfortunately, everything takes forever coming from Chile… and a government owned business.

Please advise if you would like to remain on the prepaid list and get them when they land or if you would prefer a refund.

Zac Jackson

I cancelled my entire order due to not able to get extra mags. Got myself a Tavor 7 with lots of LAR10 pistol mags. I’ll revisit this in 9 months time. Maybe by then we will get AR-10 back with change of government.

Took my 540 to the range again today. This time to sight in a Riton 1-8 LPVO.

I shot PMC Bronze 55gr on gas setting 2. No malfs, but I couldn’t get tight groups. Then I put the rifle in a sled and it punched out the center of the target - I just can’t shoot this thing like I can my AR.

It’s me tho. Not the rifle.

Still happy with my Famae. I only took one magazine as I’ve been waiting OVER THREE WEEKS for TI to ship my six mags.

I did yes. Mine came with a ridiculous looking hardware store grade lock nut..

I just installed everything then used a sharpie on the nut so it's at least black and blends in vs shiny silver..

What are you wanting to know about it?

I'm wondering if it will fold into place properly. Still trying to figure out if the handguard is too short or have they moved up the front cap. The handguard is about 1/4" short and if the actual front cap moved up and now that gap is visible I'm thinking the bipod is about 1/4" short and it will not fold in the notches in the handguard. See what I'm saying?

Anyone know what’s going on at TI?

Been waiting nearly a month for six 540 mags.

Sent a msg today… nothing.

I'm disappointed, to say the least. When I first got my rifle the muzzle had poked a hole through the box and the packing was atrocious. Luckily under first inspection, it didn't look like my rifle was damaged but little did I know at that time. I first discovered that one of my magazines wasn't working properly due to it being bent and the follower could not go all the way to the top. I contacted TI to return the magazine and quickly got an RMA number and a shipping label that same day.
Two days later I noticed that the picatinny rail on my rifle was not straight, I emailed the same person as last time and told them that my picatinny rail was not straight and sent pictures. They said they would forward the pictures of the clearly bent rail to management and it took 3 days to tell me that they had to go to the warehouse to make sure that a bent picatinny rail wasn't normal. Only 5 days after the original email about the bent picatinny rail I got an email back with an RMA number and shipping label. I got the rifle shipped back to them the same day and waited. When they got the rifle they said "We have received the return, there is some slight misalignment of handguards/stock but once you remove the rifle is straight as an arrow, but the warehouse will have another replacement rifle shipped to you shortly" Which clearly isn't true based on the pictures. 5 Days later when I got the replacement I checked to see if they sent me another rifle with a bent rail. I was thinking no way they could send me another rifle with a bent rail, they would have checked it before they sent me a replacement to make sure it wasn't bent. Surely I couldn't have another one with the exact same issue. Well... they sent me another rifle with a bent picatinny rail that was only slightly better than the previous one. I've emailed them about it again but this level of incompetence in checking these rifles for quality is insane. How in the world do they not double check the rifle that they are sending me to see if it has the same issue as the last.

Well you know the upper and lower receivers are stamped right? The surface is never gonna be even compared to milled receivers. I got SG5401M and 542 from Calgary Shooting Center and the latest version of SG540 from TI, the rails are fine, it's the rear locking piece that's weilded to the receivers that have some variants, out of the 3 guns I have, some rear piece is slightly wielded to the left some are to the right. Nothing serious as long as you know how to adjust your optic. Those are not sub-moa target guns anyway lol.

Just noticed they sold out SG542 on their website... Is yours the 308 version? If you don't want it I'll be happy to buy it?
