I've had a few of the old five stars. Were the equal of the equivalent leupolds back in the day. Last one I saw actually sell went for 300. - dan

No problem. I consider them good scopes, certainly better than their modern counterparts made overseas. - dan

I, too, like the Redfield 5 Stars. My favourite is a 6-18.

Old Redfields are agreeable to my eyes.
There's one not too far away from'ear in the 3x9.
Price point seems a tad high for my liking.
If it isn't any good, a trip to Trace would be in order.
This would set me close to an old Leupold VXIII.
