Czech CSG Group, the global industrial-technology company owned by Czech entrepreneur Michal Strnad, announces the purchase of the majority stake in the Italian, family-owned Armi Perazzi S.p.A., manufacturer of high-quality shotguns for sport shooters and elite hunters. Typical owners of these premium firearms, of which Perazzi produces approximately 1,500 units per year, are Olympic medalists, successful competitive shooters being amongst them.

The company's founder was Daniele Perazzi, an Italian gunsmith who realized his dream of producing the highest-quality shotguns worldwide when he founded the Armi Perazzi company in 1957. Currently, the company is led by the founder's descendants, Mauro and Roberta Perazzi. CSG acquires an 80-percent stake in the company while the Perazzi siblings share the remaining 20 percent equally. The business will continue to be run by the Perazzi family and the current management team.

I have been watching that story develop for a while. Not sure what to think. Kind of a shame it’s no longer a small family company. I wonder if their business strategy will change. Will they actually make a standard shotgun, or will they continue to produce custom guns one at a time ?
 
It was the Perazzi siblings who initiated the sale from what I have been reading on other sites. The company that bought them also bought Vista recently as well as Fiocchi. And Vista has already responded in typical Vista fashion..
outlined in a letter from Vista Outdoors to its customers.

Have you checked grocery store price increases lately? Vista is being positively cautious with their increase.
 
It would be great if everything we like or need increased in such small increments. Fed GM210m primers were $69 a brick and now ?
Gun powder has doubled in price and firearms have gone sharply upward as well in the last two or three years. As long as we are willing to pay $200 for 8 ounces of Blackhorn 209 then the prices will just keep skyrocketing.
