What mount/ring height/cant degree for 5-25 x 56 on 10/22?

It’s in the title. Looking for mentorship/guidance on this so as to get it as right as possible the first time.

I’ve a Vortex Venom 5-25 x 56mm (so 34mm tube) coming in, to mount on my 10/22 bull barrel in PRS type stock- the real thing I need to know is what rings/mount and cant angle (if applicable) to get clearance of the front of the optic from barrel, while keeping the height over bore as low as possible.

Currently looking at ARC M10 Rings at 24mm height, ARC M-Brace 20 degree (too much?), Arken Halo 23.4mm, or Vortex Precision Cantilever mount- open to pros cons on these, and to suggestions with the same.

Thanks

Mik

I don’t try to get my scope as low as possible. A more upright head position is better for most shooting. Right now, I’ve got a StrikeEagle 5-25 on my 10/22. It’s on a 30MOA rail with Burris XTR rings with inserts so the elevation travel is less than 1 turn from the bottom when zeroed at 50.

Also, should I option something like the Dlask or MDT 20moa base instead of rings/mount? It appears to be cheaper. I’m finding heavy suggestion that it is the way to go due to “inherent 10/22 v block barrel droop”

A rail is fine if you are shooting to maybe 200. For Rimfire PRS to. 350+ you will need every bit of cant that XTR rings or a 50MOA base provides.

Yea you want the Burris rings that give you that extra cant ability, plus at least a 20 cant rail, if not 30.

I think I have 60moa cant total with rings and base on my 22 set up, and can reach out 500m plus, but I also have the LRP S3 with 46 mil of scope adjustability. Zero at 50m.
