Spanish Civil War lever rifle

I am watching a series on Wondrium about the Spanish Civil War. Spotted this rifle:

Likely a Winchester 1895 the Russians sold somewhere around 9000 to the Spanish in exchange for gold. Vaguely recall reading a book written by a member of the mackenzie papineau battalion mention using a old lever action and quickly exchanging it for a mosin or mauser.

Spanish rendition of the Winchester M92.

I believe they also received a bunch of Russian M95 rifles, chambered for the 7.62x54R, that were built for the Czar by Winchester.

Seeing that it's lying beside a Soviet Maxim Machine Gun, chambered for the same cartridge, I would say that's what it is.

The Soviet M95s had a full fore-end stock as seen in the picture.

It’s a Russian 1895, you can just make out the charger guides if you squint hard enough.

When the Winchester 95s were sold off surplus along with the rest of the obsolete Spanish horde, they were in rather well used condition. Saw a batch of them at Williams Gunsight in Davison Michigan. Supplied to Imperial Russia, used by the Whites, captured by the Reds, then to Spain, winding up in Franco's hands. It is also possible that some of the 7.62x54R M95s came from Finland. Don't know if any are marked SA.

Gras rifle. It would be a world of suck to take a good hit from that! I think the Germans suffered from the 11 mm Gras in Greece unless I am mistaken.

Appears to be an 1895 in 7.62x54r.

Winchester 1873 and 1892 carbine clones were manufactured in Spain as well, so it would not be impossible to find photos of one of them.
