I have a Norinco with a tight chamber. .471 chambers fine this is a snap cap. My reloads at .474 do not fully chamber. I am wondering if anyone could measure thier reloads and tell me what width of the cartridge after it has been squeezed through a lee factory crimp 45 acp die.

.471 to .473 (Jacketed vs Lead cast)
What is your OAL?
Mine are 1.220" for Cast and 1.269" for Jacketed
No failures to feed or fire. I do NOT use a factory crimp on my 45's. I use the lee seating die and just take the "flare" off the neck.

I have fired thousands of reloads in my .45 and have never seen the necessity for factory crimping. My loads accuracy is consistant. I only factory crimp rifles and .357 full magnum loads

Isn't it adjustable? The one that came with the 4-die set is. I set it for 0.469" so it will feed LSWC's smoothly in an XD as well as the 1911.
