Can I do a what's it worth thread?

He's asked me to get a rough evaluation of his rifles and a couple shotguns.

May I post a query here or is there a better section to do that in?

I say if you’re going to do it, post the full list with at least a picture for each item. Some guys have more time/experience to go through the whole list, some don’t. Would be cool to update the first post with the various estimates after a few days. Kinda give a high/low estimate.

Your a member in good standing and respected too ...so post away (you dont need my permission )
Post some pics and such and get some ideas on what they might be worth.

I popped in and visted the afternoon, looked at the guns and wrote them up, but sadly, it totally skipped my mind and I did not think of taking any pictures.

I was mosltly looking at them to compare asking prices for similar items on the Exchange page, I only had the bright idea to ask on here after I got home, but once I type up the list, I'll post it. Even a general idea from my descriptions will help.

I would also suggest visiting some auction houses like Switzers, Landsborough and Kidd for an idea of approximate selling value.

When a "what's it worth" thread or threads start to turn into EE type solicitations from the responding membership then it/they has/have crossed the line into the realm of you can't sell or offer to sell item(s) on behalf of other parties here, as per the EE rules on it.

Discussion threads are meant as just that, discussion. You are not allowed to use discussion to procure solicitations to buy or sell outside of the EE. Or use discussion to campaign items that will or are already posted for sale in the EE.
