Getting ready for hunting again, after having my right reverse shoulder replacement done. Now it's just a mater of strengthening everything after laying in a hospital bed for over 8 weeks.

There was an old guy that wintered in the bush up here that I’d stop in on once in awhile. He wounded a moose that got out there a bit and took 12 shots to finish the deal. Put his pace maker out of time and dang near killed him.

I am thinking of downsizing some of my guns. Being in a wheelchair at my age is hard enough to start with let alone having a new shoulder. Maybe get rid of some of my rifles (270, AR15 in 556, rifle 556/.223, couple 9mm handguns, maybe my 20 gage shotgun never shot).

Good luck and do what your physiotherapist tells you to do. I had major surgery on my shoulder 5 months before a Cape Buffalo hunt,my surgeon (a South African) told me do all the exercises every day, you will be able to shoot your 470 NE but it will hurt but won’t do any damage. He was right. I realize you situation is different, but start low and work your way up. As far as calibers a 7mm-08 has light recoil and will kill a Moose if you do your part
