Good day all.So what is everyone using for slings for hunting and zombie killing? Too me the ones that came with the rifles are way to noisy. Just picking mine off the bench and it rattles. I think the leather ones are too skinny. I need mine so I can pack it in a ready position when hunting, not just slung over my shoulder.Thanks.Jim

Safari tactical. It allows carry of the rifle out front, hands free, and ready to lift straight into shooting position. There are a number of makes of tactical slings.

I'm using the Eagle three point tactical sling and it works good for me. Haven't tried the Blue force ones yet but I may for my next rifle.

I have a actual "Springfield Armory" leather sling ... and it's not too thin and makes absolutely no noise and is comfy ... just got another one today in the mail to put on my M1 Garand ... ;)

We need to get you out of that three point with the extra strap running down the rifle, no need for it ;)

When I get around to doing a shorty M14 I will go with a one point sling for sure. Right now the three point seems to work best on a full length rifle and I also have the option of slinging it over my shoulder. :D

I like the fabric sling that came with my M14. I found it quite flexible for the long hunt in the woods and for shooting at service condition matches. Just wrap the metal buckle with a plastic sleeve so there is no metal to metal contact. Keep it simple.

Thanks for your input guys.Think I'm gonna go with the 3 point sling and for the other we'll try the welfare method. You know why, right?
