300WSM brass shortage?

Hey there, newbie just wondering if anyone has some info on why’s it’s so hard to find 300wsm at the moment? I cannot find any either online or in stores for some reason. I just got a new rifle and would really rather not spend $90 on 20 factory shots. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

There are currently shortages in all reloading components and ammunition. The more common stuff is starting to come in but anything thats not common will be awhile. Just went through it trying to find 44-40 brass. Ended up buy used brass.

Which might be available by December of 2024. Your best option is probably try finding used brass. Put a WTB ad on the EE.

Yes, it is really hard to find the brass, and when you do it is expensive. I bought 50 pieces of Remington brass when I bought my rifle, and since I pretty much only shoot at a deer, it doesn't get used much. A couple of shots at the range before hunting season just to check zero, and then whatever I used actually hunting.

I recently bought new ADG 7 SAUM brass from a dealer in BC, price was 2.85 per piece x 12% for tax so 159.60 for a 50 count box tax included.

I have a small handful of pickups that appear to be once-fired. Let me know if you could use them.
