Woah woah woah I just bought a savage axis 6.5 creedmoor.

Did you grow the man bun before you bought it? Or are you waiting until the first couple of rounds down the barrel?

Holey jeez, I just bought a new 6.5 CRD savage axis xp this week. Looking to try out some copper bullets.

Don’t worry about some of the posts here, the 6.5 will shoot, and is good round. ( Getting old hearing about the man bun thing, like someone telling an old ####ty joke that everyone has heard about at a party 20 years ago lol )

Holey jeez.

I was pretty pumped about my first rifle too. I'm glad I didn't have an account here at the time!

Hope it's a shooter, I don't have any experience with 6.5 or with Savages other than the rimfires and a few combo guns.

Congrats on the new Savage as it will probably shoot like a laser beam . I own a few Savage Axis's in various calibers , and they all shoot well . Most Savage Axis's will shoot far beyond the skill level of the user , and I see them in use all the time at the range , and in the field .....and they all seem to be very accurate .

The 6.5 is awesome, savage not so much, but whatever, congrats on your new toy

Congrats on the new purchase. 6.5 is a fantastic calibre and popular for many good reasons. Don't worry about the comments. It's similar to the .45 vs 9mm debate that raged on for decades, and now? Not so much...

Nothing really special about the 6.5CM but still an awesome cartridge. Low recoil, easily obtained ammo and components, adequate power for just about anything. The man bun comments are ridiculous lol.

Its like a 6.5x55 or 260 Rem thats actually in stores and people care about it haha.

Kiddin, kiddin.

My condolences...

Lol made me laugh. Had an axis once, worst purchase to this day, sold it not long after. Here's hoping OPs is better.

Wow! Unbelievable!

To the OP…congratulations on your new rifle. I doesn’t matter what it is. I was also excited about my first rifle (as were probably all of the peons who commented with their rudeness). Don’t let the peanut gallery here discourage you.

My bet is that this thread will deteriorate into a war between what each peceives as the best 6.5.

I've mellowed on this point.
6.5 CR is like a Chevy 350 SB, just works OK they say.
I've got a 6.5 Swede and a 6.5 MS...my arms are long enough to handle the additional bolt travel.
Have fun with it though.
