Old 22 Ammo

Who has old 22 ammo in original boxes, show us, was talking with frank ( thespank ) at coffee this morning and it got me thinking, dug around and came up with these, thought I had a box of Gevelot yet but couldn't find it, the older the more that crap happens

I found this almost full brick on another site just before Christmas and gifted it to my uncle. I kept 3 boxes of it for my shelf.

The old stuff in my stash, I was planning to accuracy test it out of my precision rig, I don't expect great things, I am curious, I'll hold off until spring now.

I only kept single samples, gave others away. And none had price tags left. The CIL 22-Short box had 6x 22-shorts (Dominions) and a few Fed SVs. Note the 'bottom-slots' for ammo rims on the Imperial, and the Two--tone cart holder in the Canuck "Greased" SVs.

Those boxes in the front are cool . I've never seen those before . not bad condition too . you just have to love the prices on some of the shot shell boxes above .

I love the old Imperial ammo boxes, it brings me back to being a kid. My dad always had a clear plastic box of .22lr in the glove box or 12g shells in the China cabinet. He would use the empty .22 case to keep loose fish hooks in his tackle box.

Cement Head, my mother bought a big box of random ammunition at an auction for me and my brother back in the 80s We shot tons of it at crows and blackbirds but I held onto these ones. Not sure if they were for cadets or army.

That’s a great collection! I shot over the years a lot of ammo that I probably should’ve saved. Skwerel would probably neutere me if he seen all the 25 and 32 rimfire I shot out of a farmers Stevens gun at golf balls in a pasture field. I’d help him haying and he’d let me shoot. Many moons ago.
