I made no comment about ambi safeties. My comment was on turning the RH safety around to the left side, which then renders the safety unsafe because it does not click into a detent and simply spins freely.
I have no issues with ambi controls on firearms. I just think that LH firearms themselves are pointless.
I have a few ambi safeties on guns, where they are available and practical. The only ones I have not applied an ambi safety to, that I probably could, are my AR15's because I have no issues with the OEM safety. The Canadian Forces did not offer ambi safety on the C7 rifle when I served, so I became used to manipulating the OEM lever.
As was pointed out in another thread, I am a TOTAL HYPOCRITE because I do have a LH flintlock. Shoot a flintlock off the wrong shoulder and you will understand why. I also have an X95 converted to LH ... for obvious reasons. I tried to start with a Keltec RDB, for its fully ambidextrousness, but sadly that rifle failed me and so the next choice was the X95.
