ok, so yesterday i scored on a versamax waterfowl edition , the chokes are a pain in my area as waterfowl and bird hunting isnt quite as big as the east coast, its getting there but stores dont stock squat it seems

anyone know of a site sponsor or other that sells probore chokes that doesnt charge an insane flat rate for shipping?..ive seen two that had what i wanted and both were $30 + for shipping , which is double what can post charges in most instances, with few small exceptions,

any ideas?

Don't know where you post anything but any package sent Express and such is a 25 or more bill easy. Just to send a guy a couple sights in a bubble envelope cost 20 bucks.
 
Buy enough stuff to get free shipping. Cabela's starts at $150, some site sponsors are $200 to $250.

well, ive sent many packages from vancouver island to other points in BC AB and SK, last rifle i sent was 44, scopes sent all over for $17, not into paying $40+ for non 3 day shipping from van to island for a few chokes is all
 
That's basically just the world today my guy. Don't forget its shipping AND handling! Someone has to buy the box, pack it, address it, etc. $25 is the new $15

Any tiny package that does not fit thru the 1 inch slot is 20$ postage then whatever is charged as a handling fee
The over charge fee just went up from 20$ to 30$ anything over 39 inch plus fuel plus gst plus provincial tax and I believe I missed one of two
 
Canada Post sells flat rate boxes. I send lots of small items that way. They have three different sizes and prices are according to size. The medium is $18.95+ taxes and good for 5kg of weight. Why more dealers do not order these for small items they ship is beyond me rather than lose sales because of extravagant shipping rates? They can even be purchased online in packages of 12 at a time...

This true but the person packing the box and addressing it etc is getting paid regardless whether they are packing boxes or sweeping the floor.

Just go to say Reliable a site sponsor btw and ask them for the stock factory chokes that would come with the gun.

No hidden fees or handling charges.
 
Shipping is just insane, I went and got a small business account to be able to ship guns, but the savings there are minimal as well, even for tiny things.

The last gun I shipped had a $27 charge for a fuel surcharge, ha, the carbon tax strikes again.

I recommend waiting for a free shipping day or getting a big order together, this seems to be the best option now a days.
