Reloading tray for 45 70

I use a 20ga shotgun shell loading block. Works very well.

I use a multi caliber tray that I got from Midway USA years ago. I can't recall the brand, I think it was generic, but it's blue and works really well.

I must have 3 or 4 dozen trays for different diameter cases. One is RCBS plastic and all the rest are wood. A couple are 2x6 but most are hardwood pallet planks. It only takes a few minutes to lay out pencil lines and find the right size spade bit for the drill press.
If you don't have the drill press or want them a little deeper you can go all the way through the plank and then attach a piece of 1/8" hardboard or similar to the underside.

I have several CaseGuard H50 cases with 2 different internal holder design, one which holds the largest brass mouth-up
Looking at the catalogue, it may be the H50-XL
45/70 doesn't fit to the bottom of the holder but is secure to hold with a powder charge, then flip once the bullet is in, overkill for storage but they work.

Looks like the .615" Lyman loading blocks are advertised to fit 45-70.
The .585" Area 419 loading block that I use for my 338 Lapua is too small to fit 45-70.
