can some body tell me something about the bushnell buckhorn 3to 9 power scope. i can't find anything on the website and in the catalogs. was it made just for 22 rimfire??????? quality????? problemactic?????????
thanks

I know it is an older scope , I have had a few of the buckhorn models over the years but only had them on .22's . I do have a variable sitting on a 22mag and a 4x on a marlin seem to be OK

Had one on a 7mm mag and it never gave up. I've sold the rifle but for the few years I had it it held zero and did its job.

i have a 4x32 on a muzzleloader. hasn't lost zero since i bought it in 1996.

check cabelas, i think they had some on the web site.

I had a Buckhorn mounted on a 222 for a couple of years. It was a decent, reliable scope. I ended up letting it go in a trade....one of the worst mistakes I ever made....wish I still had it:(.

I had one for 15 years on a .308. No problems, now my uncle has it on his .308. I paid $129 for it ~ 1991 or so.

EDIT: I still have the box and the paperwork.

Features : Fully coated lenses, High contrast lens, Amber coating, Full effective aperture, Anti-glare inner coating, Fully fog/waterproof, Positively anchored spring clip for improved accuracy, Metal recoil absorption bushing, Neoprene eye guard.

Made in Korea

thanks for all the replies. i have now installed it on my
parker hale 44 mag. seems to be shooting good. god
i love how this thing is pannig out. some body said somethig
a while back about a big boys 22, well this is it. 5 or 6 gr
of bullseye with cast bullets shoots like a 22. it has about
the same rainbow trajectary, but 20 times the hitting power. now vi need to find an action for my 357 mag
barrel.
thanks

those ones must be new , the buckhorns in that picture sure dont look like the old ones. I would think the old ones would be a bit better Quality then those ones on cabelas
