Looks great. Would be concerned about significant back-glow through a sight like this. Isn't this why digital night vision scopes normally have the flexible eye extension rubber?

I'm holding out for the Thermal version....

Thermal would be great. There will be two thermal versions a lower and a higher resolution version. Both are getting pretty pricey, although I'll consider one when they come out.

Yeah it seems that the thermal will be the more popular version overall, depending on your uses. We are now expecting these to arrive sometime in April if all goes well.

Holosun have since decided to only go forward with the standard version of the thermal sight. Through industry testing, it was determined that the increased cost of the higher resolution thermal sensor for the PRO model only produced nominal improvements. I'm not sure if/when there would be another version produced.

Is there a rough estimate about how much the thermal version will cost compared to the NV version?
Also, the smaller "pistol" sized thermal red dot that was recently announced is not the cancelled one right?

Yeah I think for the format thermal makes more sense. I think we're talking about 5k?

Thing is, you might NEVER actually use it since don't see any civilian application to a thermal rifle sight in Canada. Correct me if I'm wrong but there's no use at the range, you can't hunt with it and basically anything its designed to detect you can't shoot at.
HOWEVER..... the way things are going with the muscovites, you might actually want to have one.

There is a listing on srs under the night vision one with a cost…

I'm just noticing that this unit doesn't seem to have an illuminator.

Does this have an illuminator and I'm just not seeing it?

The initial pictures we were provided, and the prototype versions had an illuminator on the side of the NV module. But the released product does not have this no. I'm waiting for further clarification on this feature from Holosun.
