Tikka vs fierce

Once the company split antler arms/fierce. The USA company and guns have a bad rep if you read some other forums. Prophet river might still have some of the Quebec built rifles (that’s what I’d seek out, or buy antler arms)

I think the Rogue and Anter Arms rifles have totally different actions, ones a 700 clone with 70 degree bolt, and the other is a Sako 85 clone.

My Fierce 6.5 PRC was awesome. I had a twisted rival. Loved it. Accurate, light, nice slick action, the stock was fantastic. I had 0 complaints.

However, the downfall is if you have bad luck, Fierce’s customer service is BRUTAL. There was a guy in the states who got a Fierce and it was keyholing bullets, didn’t matter what weight he tried. He finally looked down the barrel and guess what? It had no rifling in it. Like none. Long story short Fierce wouldn’t do anything for him so he sued (classic Murica) and won. If you have the money Fierce is a good option, just hope you don’t need their customer service. Maybe they have stepped up their service and QC but I can’t speak personally on that part.

I’m Sorry I Honestly CAN’T - Believe a Machinest / Gunsmith would not notice there was no rifling in the barrel as he installed it ! I’v have installed a few barrels Years back and it would be impossible ! JMHO ! RJ

also Don’t BELIEVE Fierce would not WARRANTY the rifle IF this did Happen .

I’m not sure what else you want me to post, here’s the story right here, from the gentleman who it happened to. There’s 28 pages of horror stories on Fierce’s customer service. And my bad, it didn’t keyhole, he couldn’t even hardly hit the target.

Marlin vs Anschutz? Mossberg vs Beretta?

It’s just not in the same ballpark

I don't see how its inferior really, in any quantifiable sense.

Assuming the Fierce rifle is indeed a rifle and not a Fierce shotgun, even lol. Get the Tikka, put the extra grand into good glass, go hunting. It will never be a lesser rifle in any measurable way.

Here’s some more from rockslide : Just reprinting what some one answered to the NO RIFLING rifle !

Forgive me for not really believing the story. I just can’t bring my self to believe.

I’m a guy who’s never shot a new gun without inspecting it, cleaning it, and taking the first shot from the hip.
So I’m having a hard time believing someone made a barrel and forgot to rifle it, then chucked it up and centered it in a lathe when none of their pilots and rods would fit, contoured the barrel and didn’t notice, chambered the barrel and didn’t notice the pilots didn’t fit, then threaded and crowned the barrel and never noticed the lack or rifling, then assembled a rifle and never noticed, likely cleaned the metal shavings out of the barrel prior to test firing and never noticed.
And then a guy bought the rifle and somehow got to the point of shooting it without noticing, locked it up and shipped it out, still hasn’t noticed, Fierce has it and returns it without noticing, ect…

I just don’t see how at least 2 folks could not notice, and it was likely more than 2.

Antler's customer service on the other hand is awesome. Super easy to deal with and very accommodating.
