Cowboy Special

You are going to have to work up your loads anyway - I would not trust anyone's own loads.

Did you get a reloading manual or 2? Hornady, Hodgdon and other reloading data is also available online from their websites.

Hornady has loads for 255gr lead for Cowboy, as does Speer for 225 and 230 grain
 
I'm using a Uberti M73 Carbine, 19" barrel in .45 Colt for Wild Bunch. I'm using 5.1 grains of Red Dot pushing a 200 grain LRNFP bullet for a PF of 171. Wild Bunch requires a PF of 150.

Sorry if you already have the answers:

Are you referring to .45 Colt (Long Colt) or the shorter .45 Cowboy Special?
I load both, but for the .45 Cowboy Special, I use the .45 ACP data as a guide and I only use the Cowboy Specials in my revolvers, saving the .45 Colt ammo for my 1873.
Unless the rifle you are planning to use has been modified to handle the shorter Cowboy Special cases, you will likely have feeding issues and jams.

Are you shooting with Ruff's Regulators?

Where did you get your .45 Cowboy Special brass?

I used to shoot it with black powder with this bullit. It was equivalent to shooting a lubed round ball, I have also tried it with the 170 and 250 gr but for matches the 150ish was the best choice.
I have some smokeless data around here somewhere I will try to find it and post it.
