Best micrometer peep for a Win 94?

The aluminium alloy 66A sights are poorly machined . The ones I've seen were so loose the elevation slide wobbled in the dovetail it slides up and down in. Not worth buying, especially compared to the much better machining on the old all steel model. And the steel is much stronger.

Marbles makes a tang sight with repeatable clicks, both windage and elevation. Multiple stems are available for distance/load adjustment. Depending on the vintage of Model 94, no extra holes required. Couple with a Globe type front sight, changeable inserts, you'd have a very nice set up capable for multiple uses.

Will this be boutique enough?

Must be busy trawling the forum looking for subjects to get triggered by Jimmy :d

I’m not a tang sight adherent, and prefer receiver sights. Find they’re more precise, less subject to getting bumped or snagged, and the sight spacing to the eye more natural. And as per the first post, I prefer turrets.

I've finally got my own computer back and can post pics again... the correct model of Redfield sight for the M94 is the 70EH (hunter knobs) or 70ET (target knobs). They're all steel, period correct, and you don't need a stupid little screwdriver to adjust them. I've made range trips with the intention of sighting in a Williams, and couldn't because I forgot the stupid little screwdriver. I would seek out the hunter model; you can adjust them with a coin, but it removes the temptation for random people to come along and twist your knobs.

I shot quite a few deer with the Williams FP mounted on a Pre-64 Model 94... did not get the target knobs because I want it more "snag resistant." Never had any difficulty adjusting it, and changed loads several times. It is aluminum, but sturdy... it woukd take a pretty good whack to damage it beyond use. Toward the end, I was double jacking 150 NBT's from the rifle.

I’m into the 140gr Monoflex right now, makes it a legitimate 200 yard rifle like those NBT’s would, quite a game changer from the old FPs.

Yup, it was a cracker with 38 grains of LVR and the 150 NBT's... completely different set of rules for that load out of the old 94.
