Hi all. Had to join this forum to post this, so I apologize if this topic has been discussed before.

I'm wondering if anyone knows whether or not the Beretta Px4 Storm will eventually be available in Canada? Currently it is not due to it's barrel being 102mm, thus 3mm short of the legal minimum.
It's a nice pistol and I'd love to get my hands on one. (Unfortunately I don't work for Canada Border Services...they chose it as their service sidearm.)

Unless beretta is willing to make accommodations like other manufacturers have (sig, steyr, etc). Although someone mentioned a .45 model coming out sometime in the future that would be long enough.

Lots of people are still waiting to hear from Questar they posted that they had barrels some time ago. I think that they are trying to import "D" models like CBSA is issuing. If I remember corrrectly their post mentioned something about responding to a number of CBSA Officers who were looking to own a pistol like the one they were being issued.
They may be hard to find as they were designed for law enforcement being DAO with a heavy trigger pull. I believe the "F" model is the one being sold to civillians Stateside.

BRING IT IN! BRING IT IN!

dammit, I've been waiting since these things came out to get one.

Questar said he had barrels that were ready to go. Still waiting to hear when.

Stupid damn rules....

In the new Beretta catalogue you can see a picture of a PX4 in 45acp. It has a barrel that sticks out of the slide about 3/4 of an inch.
I think that gun would be perfectly acceptable for legitimate and responsible firearms owners who know that a 105mm barrel is no different than a 107mm barrel. There, I said it.....

^that's the Px4 SD I don't think it's out yet but it won't be cheap I'd guess probbaly over $1100 here.

but the regular .45 model is listed as 105mm on one of the Beretta websites (IIRC international not the US one). I asked someone on the Beretta forum to measure a barrel by placing a rod down the barrel with action acosed and he got a bit over 105mm, so maybe if one of the dealers can prove this to the CFO we could get the regular PX4 .45 model...:)

You asked an American to measure something in mm's?

:runaway:

Picture right from their website..... looks like an extended barrel... interesting...

There are C/D models available in the US to civilians, they pop up on gunsamerica and such every now and then. Heavy DAO trigger pulls are obviously not very popular although.
